1 Pavel Tchikov
solo electronics
Pavel TCHIKOV is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and improviser based in Belgium. His solo work spans a wide range of genres and approaches, including microtonal IDM, experimental pop, and mechanical electroacoustics. He explores these sonic territories using a modular system, often combined with guitar, percussion, or instruments of his own making. Alongside his solo practice, Pavel leads and composes for two larger-scale projects: OGIVES — a nine-piece ensemble combining contemporary composition, polyphonic voices, poetic texts, and rock energy. Their debut album, mixed by Steve Albini, was released on the Sub Rosa label. SOPA BOBA — a dramaturgical project featuring G.W. Sok (The Ex) on vocals, a string quartet, and abrasive electronics. The album is also available through Sub Rosa. Over the years, Pavel has collaborated with numerous artists, including: G.W. Sok, Steve Albini, Toby Driver, thisquietarmy, Farida Amadou, Phil Maggi, Olivier Bovy, Tom Malmendier, among others. His music has been released on labels such as Sub Rosa, Trouble in Mind, Midira, and Anterior Insula, and has been featured in publications including The Wire, The Quietus, Mowno, Prog, Perfect Circuit.
For this evening, Pavel will perform on a self-built motorized electroacoustic instrument, controlled and processed through his modular system, with quadraphonic sound spatialization.

2 Pirahã & Roulive
cello, violin & electronics
Pirahã is a Brussels based French-Belgian amplified string quartet. They work closely with electronic composers who play with them. They’ll perform their upcoming album, “From Dust”, by and with Nicolas Roulive, a long piece for cello, vilolin and live electronics. Dark and haunting, reminiscent of the work of Chu Ishikawa and Ryoichi Kurokawa, “From Dust” takes the listener on a journey where raw materials collide in an inexorable race, reaching a form of trance sustained and prolonged by string instruments.
Nicolas Roulive (b. 1989) is a Belgian composer, pianist, and electronic music performer based in Geneva, Switzerland. His work focuses on the relationship between acoustic instruments, electronics, and new media, exploring a wide range of idioms and styles, including classical, synthwave, noise, and EDM. He is particularly drawn to raw sounds, harsh noise, unexpected sonic fusions, and live processing. In 2024, he composed his first opera, Dernière expédition au Pays des Merveilles, which premiered at the Comédie de Genève.
