SMOG is the name of a series of contemporary and non-classical music concerts held in Brussels. Taking place in a chilled and lively venue, SMOG is an opportunity to get to know people’s latest works on music composition and sound research. SMOG is a space where you can approach music without prejudices, on a regular basis.
Coproductions
Depending on the project, S M O G (she) has established the following co-productions with: Italian Cultural Institute of Brussels, Musiques & Recherches, Logos Foundation, KRAAK, Walter werkplaats, Nuits du Beau Tas, ICTUS/GAME, Pro Helvetia, Qo2, Österreichisches Kulturforum Brüssel, Miry Concertzaal, Conservatoire royal de Mons/Arts au Carré, Eglise Saint-Servais Schaerbeek, Swedish Consulate of Brussels, Loterie Nationale, Department of Culture of the Flanders Region (Kiosk), Archipel de Genève (CH), Projection Room, Musica in Prossimità à Pinerolo (IT), Night Air Kortrijk Festival (BE).
Residences
Before S M O G concerts, invited artists have the opportunity to use the S M O G space and the technical equipment there for at least one week prior to the concert, free of charge. Outside of S M O G concerts, the venue is used for residencies by various artists working on contemporary, electronic and experimental music, with a request for a symbolic participation fee of 50 euros/day for the space.
